If you are flying in to the state of Utah chances are you are landing at Salt Lake City International Airport which is situated only 4 miles from the city center and is also a hub for SkyWest Airlines, Delta Connection and Delta Airlines. These three airline carriers alone account for just over 70% of the flights with Southwest Airlines account for 12.9%, United and United Express accounting for 4.4% and American Airlines accounting for 2.74% of the market.
There were also 450 departures per day at the airport with destinations including various US cities including cities in Canada and Mexico as well making the airport internationally diverse. There were over 20 million passengers that passed through the airport in 2008.
There are five different concourses with between five to seven airlines for each one. You can also pick up your car rental from the airport and drive to Salt Lake City and see some of the attractions at this beautiful city, which was home to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

There is public transportation available including buses as well as taxis in addition to the car rental services available at Salt Lake City International Airport.
